Air brakes with a heated dryer and auto slack adjuster, exhaust brake, 22.5 wheels, side view cameras, and more all contribute to safety and driver control. This Berkshire XLT is a unique Total Electric rig with no propane to contend with. No tanks to fill, no odors, and no worries about an open flame causing a fire. Six deep cycle house batteries provide power for this coach. Keeping the batteries charged and ready to go is a 100-watt solar panel and a 2800kW inverter/converter. There is also a 10.0kW auto-start Cummins Diesel generator which is large enough for many mid-size family homes. And, of course, there is the 50 Amp service connection when parked at an RV site. These features carry out the entire coach, not just the main living area. Naturally, this coach has the full kitchen like most other Class A rigs but Berkshire has upped the ante with a 23 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel french door residential refrigerator w/ice maker, an Electric Induction glass cooktop, a 30" OTR convection microwave oven, and a Stainless Steel dishwasher.This rig has two full baths. There is one in the center of the house for guests or other family members, and the Master Bath is at the rear of the coach. Aside from a little dust and dirt on the tires, no dents, scratches, or fiberglass blemishes were noted.
The interior was found to be exceptionally clean and organized. The upholstery was soft and smooth to the touch, looked great, and all seating was extremely comfortable.
The owner stated all systems function and operate as intended. The coach is easy to maneuver, driving is pleasurable and the overall ride is similar to a luxury vehicle.
